Conveyancing is the legal side of buying or selling a home: everything needed to pass the property from one owner to the next. Your conveyancer checks the legal title, orders the searches, raises enquiries, handles the contracts and moves the money safely, so the keys can change hands on completion day. Stuck on a word? Most moves take 8–12 weeks, but we're always pushing to get your purchase or sale through as quickly as possible. We'll keep things moving behind the scenes and send you regular updates on WhatsApp, so you're never left wondering what's happening. Your quote covers all the legal heavy lifting for your move. We'll take care of everything from checking your contracts and answering questions to working with your lender and updating the Land Registry. The only other things you'll need to pay for are 'disbursements': the costs we pay to others on your behalf, like your local searches, Land Registry fees, and Stamp Duty. Yes! You'll meet your conveyancer, the property law expert handling your move, shortly after you sign up. They'll send you proactive updates to keep you in the loop, and you can book a time to speak to them directly.
Because fall-throughs are (unfortunately) still pretty common, we've got you covered. If your purchase or sale falls through and it's not your fault, we'll give you a second chance, even if you're buying a different property second time round. Read what happens when a chain breaks.
You'll make a small initial payment to get the ball rolling, and you won't need to pay the rest of our fee until your purchase or sale completes. Before then, we'll send over a clear breakdown of everything so you know exactly what's due and when. No hidden charges, no surprises.
